Further to our research on how mobile units can best serve those sleeping rough, we concluded that they must be robust, low cost and low maintenance.

As a valuable part of our emergency outreach programme, the van will go out in the evenings, aiming to serve rough sleepers in our City and meeting individuals where they are based. It will access more clients than our teams on foot, enable emergency care on the streets and provide ‘sign-posting’ to local services relevant to those sleeping rough on the streets. It will supply essentials such as sleeping bags, hot drinks, heavy duty clothing, hats, scarves, socks, gloves, underwear, toothpaste and brushes, soap, shaving cream and razors, antiperspirant, sun tan cream, and feminine hygiene products.
