Off The Fence are delighted to welcome Felicity Hyde-Thompson to our Off The Fence Team as Fundraising Assistant.  Felicity is covering for Hannah Lancaster who is currently on Maternity leave.  We wish them both all the best.

How has your time in Off The Fence been so far?

I’ve been made to feel very welcome, and I’m loving being part of the team!

Tell us a bit about the role you play in the fundraising team and how you came to be here?

I’m on a nine-month contract covering some of Hannah Lancaster’s role, looking after fundraising – specifically working with trusts. For many years prior to this though, I’ve worked at the University of Sussex in administration and have also volunteered for years with other local charities who serve the homeless in our city.

What in particular excites you about working at Off The Fence?

I long to be able to make a difference in the lives of the homeless and needy who come to Off The Fence, or are served by Off The Fence on the streets.

What is your favourite thing about working and living in/near Brighton?

I’ve always loved the fact that in Brighton and Hove you can easily have a walk in the countryside, as well as by the sea - plus, it’s only an hour away from London, by train!  I love the vibrancy of the city, and its creativity, that can be seen everywhere!

What would you say to someone who wanted to volunteer for Off The Fence?

We’d love to meet you!
