Lizzi and Rich from our school team recently had the honour of speaking at the National Prayer Spaces in Schools Conference in London. Here’s how they got on…

“It was an early start for a Saturday as we made our way to Clapham Junction. We joined many other arriving at St Marks Church for the annual Prayer Spaces in Schools [PSIS] Conference. It was a particularly special year as it marks 10 years since the first known PSIS. It was wonderful to meet so many people already involved in PSIS and others who were interested in joining the work.

Much of the day was spent networking and sharing creative ideas. However we also heard from Julian, a professor from York University who shared his interim report of research he has been doing on the spiritual impact of Prayer Spaces in Schools.  After lunch we were asked to run a workshop entitled ‘Getting Started with Prayer Spaces’ sharing practical ideas from our experience. It was such a great day to be a part of.”
