Women’s Centre

Support for women, by women

Gateway Women’s Centre provides a welcoming, safe space for women going through a time of crisis, emotional or practical difficulty.

Our new Gateway Centre is open!

In just under 2 years, over 20 trusts and foundations, dozens of churches, businesses and schools, and hundreds of individuals raised over £540,000 to purchase, re-design, extend and build our new Gateway Women’s Centre at 52 Station Road, Portslade which opened on the 1st December 2022.

Trained staff are here to listen in a confidential and caring environment. Providing important support services as well as fun, community and friendship, we offer opportunities for women to improve self-confidence, develop life skills, build resilience and reduce isolation.

It’s been a time of change. But one thing doesn’t change. Our support for women in difficulty or crisis.

We offer one-to-one emotional, practical and spiritual support for women experiencing life’s challenges. The team can offer a supportive listening ear, with time to talk through issues and ideas, to get information, to get support with accessing other services, or other practical input.
