Winter Appeal 2024

As the winter chill settles in, our thoughts turn to the warmth of home and the comfort of familiar surroundings.

For many of us, home is…

a sanctuary, a place where we can relax, recharge, and connect with loved ones.

It’s a place of safety, comfort, and love.

However, for over 7,600* households struggling with housing insecurity in Brighton and Hove, the concept of ‘home’ takes on a different meaning.

Their homes may be cramped, cold, hostile and lacking the basic necessities. For others, their home may be an emergency shelter or a hidden corner of the street. Instead of seasonal comfort, they may face the harsh realities of hunger, illness, and uncertainty.

Over the past year, we've stood by over 500 individuals experiencing homelessness, 130 women facing crises, and 400 marginalised students, guiding them out of the crippling cycle of spiritual and social poverty.

This winter, we have the opportunity to embody the meaning of ‘home’ by making a tangible difference.

By donating to our 2024 winter appeal, you can infuse warmth, hope, and a profound sense of belonging into the lives of those who need it most. Your generous gift will:

You can take part in our Winter 2024 Appeal practically by opening your home to an isolated neighbour, reconnecting with distant loved ones, or volunteering at one of our three local programmes. Let's create a lasting impact and embody the true meaning of ‘home’ this Winter.
